Halle Bailey Kid Name ‘Halo’: The Arrival of a New Star

Halle Bailey, the talented songstress, has welcomed a baby boy, confirming what fans had speculated for months, despite months of avoiding inquiries about her pregnancy.

Bailey surprised her eight million Instagram followers with the joyful announcement of her new arrival.

Bailey shared the news with her fans on Saturday night through a touching photo. The image featured her holding the newborn’s hand, adorned with a bracelet that reads “Halo,” revealing the chosen name for her baby boy.

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son… welcome to the world, my halo,” she expressed warmly in the caption.

“The world is desperate to know you ♥️,” Bailey added, possibly in a lighthearted tone, considering the persistent inquiries from fans about her pregnancy, scrutinizing her appearance for signs like a “pregnancy nose.”

Throughout 2023, Bailey, the younger sister of bandmate Chloe Bailey and girlfriend to rapper DDG, consistently refused to confirm her pregnancy. Despite paparazzi photos capturing a baby bump, she adamantly demanded fans to respect her privacy, going as far as wearing baggy clothes and flowing dresses to conceal her delicate condition.

“The Little Mermaid” star and her 26-year-old boyfriend DDG officially shared their romance on Instagram in March 2022. Reflecting on their meeting at the BET Awards a few months later, Bailey shared with Essence magazine on the red carpet, “I grew up being on YouTube and would always see the young Black creators and was constantly inspired by them. He was one of them. Coincidentally, he messaged me — and the rest is history.”

While the couple never provided an official response to rumors, they playfully engaged in coy messaging on social media. Halle dropped hints with an Instagram caption saying, “Minding my business…wbu?” Meanwhile, DDG often responded to social chatter through tweets, Snapchat videos, and status updates, adding an element of intrigue to their online presence.

DDG, born Darryl Dwayne Granberry, marked the birth of his son with a new song titled “Freestyle.” In the track, he reflects on the strength of Halle and embraces his newfound role as a father. DDG expresses, “Silver spoon kid, I know Halo don’t want for nothing. He crying, his momma is coming. She is stronger than Wonder Woman.”
